Of capped internet, wallet dents, and movie reviews on the off-chance I bother watching movies.
Capped Internet Woes
Capped. So let’s just avoid home internet! Wallet dent. Ow.
My internet is capped. So until Tuesday it will be slow. That means that I have heaps to do past when I’m capped because some things just take way too long to load. 
When even gmail’s little toolbar likes to take its time [though at least it eventually loads], this is rather depressing to be online. I suppose msn loads and fanfiction.net kind of loads.
Hm. I didn’t know why I smelt the stench of blood. Now I do. -nose bleeds- How odd. My nose almost never does that. *covers nose*
Spending too much. Think I’ll be a happy recluse playing games, reading and drawing now.
So anyway, other than capped internet, another option was to just plain not be home for the past couple of days. =__='’ Aiee. Clearly was not a good idea as I just spent way too much yesterday Which is why I will probably skip on buying that external harddrive though I have enough for it. It is not direly necessary after all. Getting.. ack. Heeled shoes however…-sigh- Well, just gotta limit myself even though its not all that much compared to how much clothing costs T__T amongst other things. After all, one does not make money if one is just spending it. [unless its an investment =P But eh. risk factor -ponders-]
Train tickets for example - I should have just brought a travelpass! Yep. That bad. Although this was across the week…
Food - meh, I easily over spend on food. But then I eat slow unless its mushed up..like pies! :/ [to which, *destroys Tony’s pies through distraction xD Take that “master” of physics. -snorts- Lime green computer graphics and random spheres falling from the sky isn’t quite err…blue velocity. -cough-pwnt-cough- But.. no, really, keep at it! Haha. Avoid the pies with the label on the top. Big Ben, I think? They taste bad.]
Gah. But anyway, perhaps I’ll just buy smaller proportions. Like popcorn chicken. Mmm. Had some when I got home yesterday and I should have so brought that instead of the soggy burger. [must be the lack of cheese xD] Of course, Parramatta KFC. What did I expect? Least that cow who worked there isn’t there anymore. That said, burgers in general always tend to turn soggy. Well, in central. xD [Eddy Ave chicken shop - no hope there. Hungry Jacks? ALWAYS soggy.] The KFC on woodville road though? [Oh one of my uni friends lives around there. How strange. She lives so near o.O. Ah yes, I didn’t even know where the Leagues was! Thought it was near the park but it’s actually on the other side of the railway which I don’t actually go to much. I am so out of touch with the place I live in that it’s not funny. Unfortunately I know Auburn far too well. Haha.] It is so awesome.
Movie tickets [cheap Tuesday ftw but.. I didn’t go Tuesday =_='’ Oh well, s’okay. Still would have rather just have.. downloaded the movies instead xD (and leave them to be unwatched)]

Get Smart
So okay - let’s see, there was Thursday - Get Smart –> Quite good. I read a review beforehand that it would just be awkward humour in a purposeful-attempt-to-be-awkward-and-not-very-funny way but hey, it’s okay. It was cheesy funny. [or should I rename this as slapstick stupidity? xD] Anyone get the feeling that agent 99 was just a tad too short tempered compared to the old one? Equally, Anne Hathaway usually plays more… calmer characters I suppose.
Well… Sequels, remakes, tributes, etc. of tv shows are never usually all that good so I wasn’t expecting much. This was actually alright. =D
Although… I do ponder about the setting. Is it still based in the 1950s? Because if so.. there are just various things that seemed rather steampunk. The dell computer for one =P
Plot wise - Maxwell Smart was an Intel Ops agent for CONTROL but guess what? He wants to be a field agent. Bumbling along, he’s finally gotten past the physical tests [and lost some weight on the way]. On the way to stop KAOS he bumps into [literally… hm. Cliche alert!] Agent 99. Who is just so omg pro field agent yo, with plastic surgery. So fat jokes and surgery/age jokes abound through the movie. Er..yes. And then CONTROL’s HQ kind of gets blown up. Max may have whacked certain chiefs of his upon the head. Certain devices may not have worked. Blah blah blah. Eventually he and Agent 99 have to stop a nuclear bomb. Some bakeries and big island dudes involved. Staples to the head. Misfired crossbows. [That is one nifty swiss army knife. Mine sure doesn’t have a flamethrower xD Hahahaha.] Some arse kicking…or arse kicked. Etc etc. etc. Not ruining the plot. But eventually, happy ending. Go and watch it. -nod-
Kungfu Panda
Then of course, there was Kungfu Panda which I watched yesterday =D Apparently the game for it actually had some influence upon the movie which never usually happens [and both game and movie came out on the same day!] and I feel like finding that game soon [although usually movie based games are fairly ftl too. Eg. Harry Potter anyone? :/ Of course.. those ones aren’t usually all that good movies anyway. Harry Potter 7–> The extended camping trip. Pfft.]
So anyway, Kungfu Panda. Awesome awesome awesome =D Although waiting for the very slightest of endings when everyone else has already left the theatre is not quite my type of thing [though two of my friends did that. Hm…Ah yes. They brought two of their school friends along and I’m just kind of going wtf =_='’ awkwardness yo. Rather blocked away.. =( Plus I mistook one twin for the one that’s my friend. eh. heh.. yea. Bright. Shi. Bright. Why did Ellie have to be busy too?]
Right. To reviewing the movie –> Kungfu Panda had good animated drawings for the beginning and ending which was quite nice to see [though referring back -it was good but not good enough to sit watching it credits. ahah.]
Starts off Po the Panda and his goose/duck father going on about noodles. [whose father was also a goose…who’s father’s father was…who’s father’s father won the noodle shop off a pig in a game of mahjong. xD]
Po’s dreaming of kungfu and definitely not noodles. Enter announcements of the search for the next dragon warrior by old turtle dude at the temple. Po is really slow in getting up the stairs because he’s a panda and there are a lot of weight jokes there. Eventually, the fireworks upon a chair thing manages to make him accidentally [oh but ‘there’s no such thing as accidents!’ …just pandas breaking stuff, ey? xD] the dragon warrior by finally getting into the temple [oh did I forget to mention that he was just seconds too late from the gates closing? Yeah.]. Insert dislike from the great 5 who don’t want him there and initially, Seifu doesn’t either until turtle dude dies [into a cloud of petals]. Well anyway, insert blue tiger creature that wants the dragon scroll [which is very very surprising to look at], and battle away! Real cool battle scenes here and there. Po can actually fight where motivated by… er. food, but well. Hm. What’s there to say?
The climax is well.. rather weak? See, there’s some disjoint between the scroll, and the battle between the main baddie and the panda :/ This may be due to what the scroll is, but..there’s just something lacking in that corner. Too easy a defeat perhaps? I suppose the moral of the story is belief. But etc etc. another happy ending. [but..G rating. What do you expect?]
Wallet Dents –> the dreadful word –> Shopping
So.. the things that just costs me heaps :/ Random and not so random but VERY painful to the wallet purchases. Oh well.. fine the random bit can be explained away to the fact that I’ve been collecting a few presents here and there for people [although I don’t think the SIFE people appreciated me wandering away to do that… xD].
Also because I want to stock up on more art markers. Copics are so expensive U_U I’d buy them online but I don’t know how much ink would be left in those things. So burn a hole in my pocket they go. -sigh- Perhaps I should stick to Pantone markers or Prismacolours. :/ Or stick to computer graphics =P Well.. its no wonder artists are poor. xD Glad I’m not becoming one even though Colleen wants to be one.
So yeah anyway. I hate clothes shopping. There is in fact a distinction between shopping shopping and just plain clothes shopping. Where the latter is a chore. Mhm. Haven’t quite filled up the clothing quota [need shoes still] though my funds quota is rapidly depleting [lists what I bought later], and I think I’ll avoid shopping with people whether they be male [why oh why. I am going to hide in a corner now. …plus, surely there’s better things to do >_>] or female friends[equally. Also, far too much walking about and waiting for people to change. But eh. >_>] .’. Shopping alone ftw. Although then I have to face pushy sales assistants. But least it is faster, and I actually buy stuff I guess.
Anyway, got myself another turtleneck [=D Just missing blue and green but ehh. Not quite my thing.] and a few …cardigans. Well they were cheap. Might as well buy them. So least there I saved a marginal 50% off the lot.
Right, so what did I end up buying that cost so much and has me whinging? A suit. Mhm. For SIFE, I needed a suit. A plain [not pinstriped], black, skirt suit. Which is really harder than it should be to find [without looking daggy], and when I did find it, it was one of those polyester ones. [though I think all black ones are the same rather crap stretchy polyester material…] Mhm. =_='’ Lame. Somewhat unnoticeable wool [it’s warmer that way!] pinstripe pantsuit ftw. [Probably last longer too..] Ow ow ow. If time wasn’t an issue I would wait for sales. Or should have brought one when exams were on since they had sales around then =( Certainly not very sale priced at the moment. And what is the deal with suit sizes these days?
Shinigami is unhealthy she thinks. Being death and all, you would think that would be expected but still!
Do they give them smaller numbers as to not offended the average Australian woman or something? [is slightly smaller than that [12/14 I think?] but hey, I’m Asian.] … =( Well now I’m offended because I had to get stick sized [I am not size 6. 8 is pushing it. 10 is normal, and yet. Now it appears I ‘am’. Hn.]. T__T That or I am turning into a stick which isn’t very good news either *eats up on sugary buttery cakes then* -nod-..oh but then I wouldn’t fit the suit. Blast. Perhaps its just me being rather ill lately since I ate out my whole candy supply during exams, which was..just last week. Symptoms getting through now that I have finished? I don’t know..hope I don’t get sick.
But least.. my sleeping pattern is a little bit more normal and not something like 5am sleep times anymore? Although I still couldn’t sleep until midday today =( Maybe that 16 hours of sleep a while back fixed things. Or made it worse. Haha. Perhaps it’s time to run around a bit more now that I’m up early.
What to do next week… if any time is left =(
Been hanging out with uni friends just that tad too much. [Although some I still haven’t seen since prior to exams =(] So I’m going to hang out with hs friends. Have to go uni on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and Saturday or Sunday too probably =/ Tuesday is time with Tina and Eleanor and whoever else we can drag along on that day. Oh well, that game of tennis still hasn’t been organised [maybe Stella might] but I haven’t seen Elva online in eoonns. =( And that’s more her type of thing. Equally, yesterday Paolo [he doesn’t still hate me for accidentally getting him into detention ages ago ^^'’ phew! Well..least that grudge died.], Simon, Sarah and some others went to go bowling. Perhaps I should have gone. Perhaps not. Blaaah. Bankstown. Well.. unless they’re went nu-vision which I think moved to Auburn from Chester Hill.. apparently Joey was going but I thought she was in Melbourne. -shrug-
Hope that SIFE is on schedule but I don’t know what the annual report is meant to look like other than the ones on the site …Oh nuts. *sees timetable* Yea. Thurs is out for me as well now. 2nd presentation practice. And looks like Saturday might be too =/ Gah.
