Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful new year. I certainly did watching the fireworks with Lesley =)

Ah the fireworks this year were fairly pretty but not all that brilliant as the promised ‘storm’ of fireworks. I think I remember the waterfall of fireworks off the bridge last year, and the heart fireworks and while the star ones were slightly different it was just a different icon in the middle [but all those still looked awesome] and the smoke cloud really wasn’t very thundery though ooo pretty colours. Thus, not saying it wasn’t spectacular because it was!

9pm fireworks
9pm fireworks from my camera phone. Think I should have put the ISO up. Oh well. Too late.

Hm. My feet hurt from wearing flats all day so one new year resolution shall be – not to wear those dreadful things again [but I believe I said that once already. Hm.. oh well, its a new resolution =P]

Other resolutions include getting HDs [yes yes, it keeps eluding me, but I want to move towards an 80 average this year], joining some more clubs and extracurriculars [less business based and more humanitarian like Oaktree or something and might actually participate in 85 broads though I don't think they do much except have certain meet businesswomen nights and actually completing YAA this year albeit I bet Mandy wouldn't want to go through it again =P]

Oh and anime club better be on a more convenient day =__= and I feel like doing ultimate frisbee hahaha. After all, late nights at uni isn’t all that different now.. considering my timetable is going to finish at a dreadful 9pm!

What else, spending more time with people although I don’t know how I can uphold THAT during uni weeks… oh well. Back to those once a month meet ups at least.

Do more career based things since it is sorely lacking. Technically I could be considered penultimate…sorta. Of being a graduand instead of a graduate anyway, and besides I’ll have finished the accounting bit of the major if nothing else. Lucy mentoring [v2 - okay group interview - do it the deloitte way - talk a lot about nothing but keep loud and interactive and not half asleep 9am mumbles. So take a good nights sleep too? Although that was pretty hard since uni finished so late...]. What else is there in semester to do? Brainstorm. Brainstorm.

Oh of course I’ll still be doing stuff with sife [set up the website for WikProjects now on wordpress though got to transfer stuff and notify people and stuff to get started on it but hey there's still 2 months though better start the other two sites off too though they should technically be easier, just give me a week. Ah geez, I'm pretty much useless at leadership nowadays aren't I? Just losing that touch.] but I mean.. what else is there?

Speaking of far future things that give me a headache, need to research how the CA actually works [ew. I don't understand these stuff though until in it... but I'm sure all those 3rd years should start to get the point.. aww.. shall miss them... =(], also what subjects I should do in Arts because psychology may mean a post-grad dip straight off [if I do a whole 4 subjects of psychology non-award..one of which will be psychobiology..ugh] or doing both grad dip and post-grad of which then I probably won’t be bothered doing a psych major [after all, you can do that afterwards] and should consider something else like policy studies or doing a language.. Oh em gee, B. Ec/B. SocSci which would be a definite change of degree =P Well.. not really, same subjects apply just more requirements for the indecisive mind to alleviate confusion with. Hahaha. It seems I’ll be like a science student in 5th year because psychology is extremely inflexible now that I remember.
Nah. Accounting sounds easier a pathway.
As for economics. Oh wow, I don’t even know much on that or if I even want to do that since I just do wayyy much more computer/information systems based things. Except that definitely can’t fit in the degree unless I do it non-award and really even if I do random subjects in summer session [Ohh I wish I could have done along the silk road but I just wasn't sure if I wanted to since I would need all the units for psychology and I don't want to be at uni for 6 years unless I part time 5th year] On the other hand, I suppose there’s grad programs too.
But economics is so broad. You have business economics, or econometrics [of which I'd have to switch majors then.]
Need more maths to consume though. Although I rather dread doing macro 2 and micro 2 because micro 2 is apparently hard and macro 1 was just lameee back then so wouldn’t the same apply now? Oh and I can’t remember the prereq stuff and I’m going to be nigelled in introductory econometrics with all its regression unless I make friends =(

Ah yes. Strangely enough, another resolution, make some friends since otherwise I’ll be nigelled with all these ickle firsties now secondies. -pouts- And those secondies might actually graduate before me. -sigh-
