Oops. Oh gimme a break! … Or a weekend.

So I didn’t blog for several days. … say, across my 4 day weekend which shall be typical for the next 12 weeks, and I should utilise them better rather than do half-arsed homework and get ahead.

… Oh who am I kidding? It’s week 2 as of now and assignments don’t kick in till week 5 and thennn I’ll be screwed. xD

Seriously, I’m not feeling the motivation I usually have at the start of semester. Maybe because it’s begun with a bad note – illness. Woo.

Feel better now but I better take care.

So anyway, I went to the birthday of one of Lesley’s friends. Hope she had a happy birthday =). She’s nice. Met more of his friends. They’re cool. Some of which I remember from Anime club back in first year. Not that I ever went to the art sessions since they seemed so pointless. But I do like the drawings and airbrushes. Which somewhat influences me to do airbrushes again.
Except I don’t understand the point of redoing the pictures without adding your own touch but then you have to be careful with the lighting and everything…
Oh and you can’t base it on copyrighted photos either because its a derivative work and sure I get lazy but I usually make sure its either from scratch or stock [which is limited to certain forms] or..my bad photography. Not all that interesting material. Blah.

I’m uncapped today and spent the time downloading kyou kara maou episodes xD

Ahem. Although I should be reading the textbooks else I have to lug them around… but now I want to draw.

Catch a train 20 mins earlier. Come to class, 20 minutes late.

Wow.
Today [or the day that was 30 minutes ago], I actually had to start at 9am for the first time in 3 years of uni. Surely the bus line wasn’t meant to be that long? So I go to UNSW and we all have to catch buses to uni. But never have I seen it extend from stand D [practically the end of the street near the park, opposite Central Station] all the way to the end of Eddy Ave and curve along the street that’s perpendicular to Albion Street.

Basically, I was in the line for 30 minutes. Ugh. Granted, even though stand C ‘might’ be faster, it also has buses which come in 15 minute intervals. Which means it might as well not come at all considering not everyone in that line could fit either.

UNSW bus line
Perhaps the longer walk down the Central Station side and coming in from the Pitt Street end would be better?

So yes, I was at one point at the end of that terrible line and came to my international law lecture 20 minutes late and all the kids were in there already which is surprising considering its:
1. second year so can’t say first years are excited
2. arts students are known to be bludgy and politics students are no exception.
3. Oh yay. Due to the packed nature and lack of movement… nigelation.

Pols lecturer isn’t bad though considering I missed 1/4 of the lecture [albeit the course outline] it isn’t really a concern. The tutorial for pols was cool! We had a trivia on current international events. Rather fun. =)

Infs1602 however… makes me want to reconsider and not reconsider doing a infs major and go and… grumble through 5 more eco subjects. I
‘m sure if I did 1603 there would be more interesting people and greater depth but the substitute tutor was rather amusing.. in a way that can only be described as pathos. That or bumbling. And I think I may be stuck with internationals in my infs group. Argh. That or introverts.
Prefer the latter as long as they do the work I guess. Except one of them was so reluctant to say or do anything… But in the end, it’ll probably have to be me who does everything. Oh well. I DO want a HD. In something. Some time.

Bernadette left my 3A tutorial…. =( I’m missing a group member. All because she has a fear of embarrassment. Although what embarrassment is there when we don’t have class participation? [For once this semester. All my other classes have that =(] What’s that fear called again? I can’t remember… And I can’t believe she dropped audit and is now sitting on 21UOC when she was already concerned about staying back a semester.

Speaking of strange kids who WANT to stay back a semester… Lesley wants to switch to finance after accounting is done? Arghhh not another fins/law kid =.= SO boring. Sure they complement, but where is the diversity? There’s a complete excess of fins/law kids [all aspiring for the faltering investment banks?] and he wants to be another statistic? Haha. Ugh. Fins1613. Lesley hasn’t done any quizzes yet and wants to HD it through effort. Right. Good luck to him.

On the other hand, Lesley’s switched to my tute, yay! <3 But why did it have to be at the expense of Bernadette? Couldn’t the chick who went to my primary school leave instead? I don’t like reminders. On the other hand, I’m probably forgotten so its cool. Wouldn’t have recognised her had it not been for random facebook adding anyway.

Hm. And now it’s the end of the week and I’m so tired because for some reason I’ve been leaving uni late coming home at 10pm or 8pm or 9pm and actually coming to uni early on days.. when I don’t have to come early though of course, getting there late when its a 9am class. Hm… but its just a lecture. Maybe with ilects? Hopefully…I feels like skippery considering I only have one hour break [lunch timeee!]
Ugh. I need sleep.

Day 2: I need to change from being nocturnal to being a morning person. Uh oh.

I finished at around 7.30pm yesterday. That’s fine. Except my timetable actually has me finishing that lecture at 9pm so it’s just the luck of it ending early.
Today – I finished at 6pm, had a bus line full of first years and thus didn’t get home till about 8pm.

As for tomorrow?
I start at 9am. Oh god.

I.e. Sleep, where art thee? I need you badly.

Class-wise, I’m not alone.. yet. But that’s possibly because its accounting and legal, and well, it’s 3 years – got to have made some friends, right?
However, I’m fairly behind with my Arts subjects and so its yet another new group of 1st years to befriend [or fail in doing so because now there's an age gap and people graduate and leave and forget you since the degrees by themselves are 3 years long].

Lately I’ve gotten thoughts of being olddd. Okay, maybe one part could be the fact that they couldn’t read my writing in a form and thought I was born in 1984 until I corrected them… which is 5 years older than I actually am. Yay. I’d be out of undergrad uni by 25 [well sure hope so but I think I'm doing alright with that track]. However, even then, I’m a third year now. So are my friends. Some will graduate this year [although a commerce degree in this current financial climate is probably not the best of ideas] which is why a lot are picking up liberal studies or Arts like me. Graduating at 20. Hm. In my case it’ll be 22 in 2 more years. Although this year just started.

Aim: 1 HD or +, and at least all Ds. Sounds hard. I was just so close.. and yet so far. 74.9×75 wam and 74 in accounting. Ah. It’s always accounting bringing the marks down that little bit, and GPA-killing had we run on the GPA system. Yet accounting’s interesting so stick on I shall!
