I started my first site that I can remember, on expage (1999). It was nothing much, and it was just one page to insult the person who insulted the Pokémon fanfiction that I was reading about Mewtwo. Do not ask why I did that or why I even remember, but that would be the start.

My second site was a geocities site, which I made with its pagebuilder with my friends in Year 6 (2000). All that can be said is that it didn’t last too long as this was on the third last day of primary school. It was yet another pokémon site, but this time it wasn’t just a page insulting another. Actually, it was really anything but a pikachu background and with eevee and marril pictures on it. Apparently, I still have a yahoo account around (eeveemarril), but that’s all that is left.

It was the 14th of August, 2001 that I was introduced to neopets.com by a sailormoon mailing list that I was on-A Super Sailor Saturn one, if I remember correctly. Hn, that person now has a referral with the name lavenderpup written over it Bleh, I should have noticed.
It was here that I started with anything html-like. (well I did read some html, but I never figured out where I could PUT the html (smart, wasn’t I?))
I joined a guild called Neopian Helpers soon after I joined neopets.com. From there I started with the linked image code for guild banners,

Yes, the code looked exactly like that as I didn’t like the quotation marks “_”;; Let’s just say that I learnt my lesson when I tried to make my first hosted site (and to say the least, my longest lasting site excluding equatic.net/digitalskies.net).
But anyway, back on topic, I learnt some minature html codes like bold, Font color, Italics and Underline, which I put into place when I was introduced to Creatureworld.net (originally known as cwhome.net) which was yet another “pet” site, when I joined one of its…groups, I believe the name was? (It might be clan for all I know, but that is predominately associated with the game-play/rpgs). Well, regardless, creature world’s around so you can look for yourself if you’re interested .

So I joined one of those groups and then later co-owned the group with calala_red, the leader of that said group…I think I wrecked it I made a group website for it at a place called uttermadness.net, but I believe that has disappeared, so that can be ignored.

Well within that period of time, it was now the end of 2001, and here starts my little tale as I finally made an actual website (not a webpage) as I joined a little (but soon grew to 600 members) guild called Dream Upon A Cloud.
I actually joined the guild to prove the advert posted on the Help message board of neopets.com incorrect, and to tell off person who posted it for posting in the wrong message board. Of course, in the end, I became hypocritical and posted in the wrong sections too.
I also joined a Sailormoon guild which happens to still be around (look in my links section, and you shall see it ) which influenced WHAT was going to be on the site.
This thus starts my first actual site (which co-incidentally, is still around at http://freewebs.com/rainbow_graphics).
My coding for still a nightmare, and thus, I used a premade layout’s code (from lycentia.net), and made the graphics myself. It was a frames layout (ick!), but it looked pretty nice, and certainly better than all the ones after it on that particular site. Then again, I gave up on rainbow_graphics because I exceeded the 50 file limit. Ick to freewebs.

However, my other site on freewebs was another matter. It was the site that has lasted the longest (almost a year), the first site I got hosted and it was Lavenderpup Fanworks.
Now that I look at it, it looks hugely ugly (http://freewebs.com/lavenderpup) if you wish to see the abomination, and it is a wonder that anyone wished to host me. (However, I think I had a second layout with Tamora Pierce which was the actual reason that I got hosted, but I don’t remember the temporary freehost’s name that I used when I couldn’t fit more than 50 files), all I know was that there was a copyright sign that I had to block.)
