Past Layouts

Past Layouts

These are old layouts that are “retired” which date back to the start of Equatic.net in 2003.

Version Seven-Bad Luck

Version seven

This layout is of a band in Gravitation (an anime/manga), Bad Luck. It features Shuichi, Hiro, and Suguru and is the first anime layout that has turned out okay (unlike past attempts below).

Version Six-Shattered Glass

Version six

This layout is of a shattered glass creation that I made in Corel Painter and then edited to make a layout. It is the first layout on Digitalskies.net but has been lost because of failure to keep backups.

Version Five-Mysticus Draconigena Cirrhaeus

Version five

This layout is of a mystical dragon world which is why the title is Mysticus Draconigena Cirrhaeus. It is Latin for Mystical City of Dragons. It is a blend of dragons and I think that it looks pretty mythical. I made the blend in psp 7 which I’ve now stuck to using because of my lack of patience in trying to get photoshop 7 to blend quickly. The theme of the layout was meant to be dragons, snakes, green, silver and all things Slytherin (the best house of Hogwarts! ) and thus anti-thing against the last layout with fawkes, rainbow colors, red, gold, sparkles and all that, that scream out Gryffindor, but then I found the magik mountain picture in the background and decided to go with blue YET AGAIN for a layout. But then with a name like Equatic.net, and thus water…COULD it be any other colour? It is also the first time I’ve used a bit more css and I plan to use it even more it later layouts.

Version Four-Anti-Valentines Day from Chii the Chobit

Version four

A very badly done layout because I couldn’t really care less about Valentines Day, its just I liked the animanga picture I found (well the original anyway) and I decided to mess with it! This layout was only around for about an hour, but it’s still a past layout!

Version Three-Fawkes

Version three

This layout is of Fawkes the phoenix, and it was drawn by me on paper and then scanned. It is
my version of Fawkes on the cover of the Bloomsbury/UK/Australian Edition of Harry Potter and the
Order of the Phoenix and I did I quite a bit of computer editing in Paint shop pro and photoshop.
Unfortunately, as much as I like the layout, I still find my past layout of the mermaid airbrush
to be much nicer as this is too bright, even though my goal was to brighten it up.

Version Two-Rise of the Draconia

Version two

The basis of this layout is the airbrush creation of a mermaid which I did in Corel Painter.
I added sparkles to enhance the mystical effect of the mermaid, and the meaning of the haunting
words. I did the sparkles in Paint Shop Pro and the ironic fish bowl in Adobe Photoshop.

Version One-An overbearing welcome

Version one

This was the first layout to start off my first domain, and it was exactly what the web trend
haters DIDN’T order! It features a fading line stretch because I couldn’t stand trying to read
a fully done line stretch (Paint Shop Pro), 3d exploding teapots galore (3d Studio Max-can you
believe that was the only time I did ACTUAL exploding teapots?), and my CG of an anime girl I
drew, scanned and did in Adobe Photoshop, in which I finally perfected overly done cutesy-ness
in pigtails. Although that did look quite nice, it was more of an exaggeration if anything.
