The Pup

About me

Ok, this section is self-explanatory, and its obviously about me.

Who is it that I am? On the Internet, my usual username is Lavenderpup, which is then shortened to Lav. But really, my name is Sandy. I am no longer in high school. Currently, I await receiving my HSC and UAI results.currently a Year 12 student at TCC. TCC is in Sydney, Australia, and as I am a current student at a school in Sydney, Australia, and do not know how to Apparate, then it is fair enough to say that I live in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

I am the only child of my parents, so therefore, I do not have any brothers or sisters, older or otherwise. Would I have grown up as less of a brat with siblings I wouldn’t know now would I?

My birthday is on the 25th of May, hip hip horray. I don’t like age. Means I have to update this more than once a year xD But for it to be said, I was born 1989.

I amshall be completing a 5 year Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Arts at the University of New South Wales, starting having started 2007. Yay. I am in my second year of university.
Weeelll, it is more like.. I am awaiting my UAI results to wonder which university my fate shall lie in within three months. To put it simply, I shall, or if this page is not updated, will be completing a Bachelor of Commerce/Business at some university in NSW. I also plan to undertake a Diploma in Multimedia at TAFE at the same time — if I can handle it. Or not. I think I’ll just participate more.

It’s been a year since university has passed by. Quite enjoyable actually, although I do aim to participate more in the university community next year, not only because there’s apparently a secondary transcript introduced that will now show all these extracurriculars :/

First off, Young Achievement Australia, followed by a few useful [for me and society in general] clubs that aren’t full of social events. Ugh. The Chinese Society just spams me with invites to parties at nightclubs and nothing else. Bah. Not my type of thing. I’ll have the anime club and the commerce society for that ^^. On the other hand, something like the Oaktree Society or SIFE [Students in Free Enterprise], benefits society more, looks pretty on the transcript [if its on the transcript.. guess it means tough participation..] aaaaand does something about this atrocious amount of free time I have during this very long summer holiday.

Let’s see this time next year if I actually follow through with the more participation [whilst keeping up my Credit-Distinction Average!]

So it’s the start of a new semester, half way through the second year. I have participated more though depending on which system is used, I may or may not have maintained by Credit-Distinction Average. Thankfully, the university makes use of the WAM which means I am less than a point away from that illustrious D average I had last year again. Aim now? A definite D average. Participation can be stuffed since I’ve participated enough though enough to fill a page is questioned. But it’s enough for this year though I shall leave next year for some career building activities such as looking for vacationships and internships and all those things that I did not quite want to consider while trying to build up extracurriculars. Work wise - well.. notetaking + webdesign when I feel like it + website residual income + scholarship (…yes. I have a scholarship. No HECS for me unless I fail, lose my scholarship or take extra subjects past my 5 years [which maybe likely but I don’t mind]) = ehh. I live as a uni student. Combined, it doesn’t look all that good on the resume though so I hope being office helper at the careers and employment office at uni shall help this semester so that I might actually have some luck with those applications [granted, I send them in the day before? :/ Maybe that has an effect. Or perhaps the ol’ resume is being ineffective]

Young Achievement Australia I did not fulfill due to timetabling constraints, but if I get to the EY one as opposed to the Accenture one which required going to North Sydney [so putting down Central next time!] next year, I feel things should be fine. Ditto with Oaktree which I did not see.

Hobbies
I enjoy gaming, reading manga, watching the occasional anime, reading fanfiction, reading books going on message boards, drawing, visual arts, web designing, coding, and digital arts. In short, The Internet runs my life, half the time - school the other half, and that odd half that’s not really a half is human functioning and the odd non-computerised hobby.

Dislikes
I dislike the usual - including my previous rant which was rather immature and whiny. Of course, I, myself, am rather immature and whiny at many moments of time so hypocrisy shouldn’t be reflected. xD
